Where to buy a cyclo
They would be great with electric power

@ Beaker, I have an electric mountain bike back home, a good thing but the battery life is about 6 hours with pedal assist, with the extra weight of a cyclo it would drain quickly. You can buy the power kits&battery that bolt on the back wheel but maybe too under-powered and pain/expense to set up on a cyclo.
Cheers YTP

I bought one years ago. I just approached a couple of drivers and started chatting. We settled on 100$ and he agreed to deliver it to my street a few days later.
But he pulled a sneaky and switched out the pedals and chain ring for inferior parts.
BTW the current record for PP to SR via Battambang by cyclo is 5 days.

This is the bike I ride here in the KOW 1000w 48v does 47km/h without pedaling on the flat.
The technology has really changed in the last few years much more powerful motors , 3000-5000w is common, and the battery can be as big as you have room for.
There would be no problem powering a cyclo .
I would use a bottom bracket motor and with a geared rear wheel or double direct drive motors on the front wheels,

What’s the smaller box for?
Is that the kit you bought or a complete bike?
I’ve see those ridiculous electric fat bikes for sale in SIhanoukville with names like “Ferrari” and “Mercedes-Benz”. I’ll pass.

pew, pew, pew, pew!
I think 30mph on a cyclo could be quite entertaining,I think disc brakes would be a must.
The small box is the controller.
Yes it is a kit I bought and assembled.

Yes, 3 wheel disc brakes and I would go for power and distance over speed with a cyclo build.

I have arthritis in my hip and lower back, the ebike takes a lot of the strain off, fuck normal bikes
Electric scooters in the price range of ebikes must be registered and probably would need a license. They are heavy, slow, with limited range, slower to charge as most use cheap lead acid batteries. With an ebike you can fit in tighter places even ride on sidewalks etc and are much more nimble and easily taken into the house for secure storage.
I've got the same conditions as Andy1 the ebike is great for low impact exercise that keeps one from becoming stiff by just sitting like on a scooter.
