Legit online English teaching opportunities

Hi all
I don't know if anyone in here is or has been teaching English online? I have been doing a lot of research recently about online English teaching opportunities. There are actually quite a few legit companies that are hiring. Most of them pay around $10-15/h, but a few schools allow you to even make over $20/h. Of course, those usually require that you have a BA degree, a teaching certificate (TEFL/TESOL, etc) and sometimes even prior teaching experience. However, if you are happy with lower pay, it is fairly easy to land one of those gigs. Because I don't want to run the risk of running afoul of any forum rules, I will not be posting any links here. But you can find lots of info by just googling "teach English online". I also created a big spreadsheet with online schools and also a Facebook group to discuss online English teaching. If you are interested, let me know and I will PM the info to you.

Would be great if you could post, and I think lots of ppl would be interested in knowing how to sort those opportunities.
The problem with the world is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

That is a very comprehensive spreadsheet. Why would you bother to do all of that?
The problem with the world is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

I'm currently trying to make a living as a freelancer and online English teaching seems like a good option. After doing some research, I realized that there wasn't one nice comprehensive list, so I thought I might as well create one for my own benefit as well as for everyone else's.

Actually, there is another, list, but it's not nicely sortable & filterable. But the comment section is invaluable:

Is anyone teaching online from Cambodia? Is the internet speed/stability sufficient these days?

Vipkid out of China. Huge company. They pay 22usd per hour if you do well on the demo. They accept SE Asia residents. I know someone back here in Phoenix, AZ doing it a few hours in early morning before work.
