That was a different guy and a film school project - Barry Starzz or something, the druggy muscleman with his dodgy 'services'. He applied for a job at my place.
I came, I argued, I'm out

Really, there were two dodgy fuckers in PP with the same pervy idea of some kind of English social club for learners? Wow, what a coincidence.
k440, something to do when you're pissed.

Expect to see plenty more, the ways things are going.horace wrote:Really, there were two dodgy fuckers in PP with the same pervy idea of some kind of English social club for learners? Wow, what a coincidence.
I'm not mistaking them UM, I'm the one pointing out they are separate individuals.
EDIT: hang on, they're BOTH in this thread. The Starrz bloke is 'Canberra'. Bruno Starrz, that's it.

Just interested but isn't that essentially a vehicle where you assume all the risk? A limited company (which is where you need to demonstrate 4M Riel in assets) ensures that the business carries the risk rather than you.Bus Reg'n via Cambodian Ministry of Commerce (MOC) as a Sole Proprietor Company

Bumping a very old (but relevant) thread.
What is the legal situation about offering private tuition from a dedicated classroom? (So it's like a mini-language school I suppose).
I'm currently teaching EFL to KG, primary and secondary grade students in Myanmar at an international school (I tried for school jobs in PP a couple of years ago, but the fact that I remembered the 1960's as a young boy seemed to count against me).
Life is good in Myanmar, no problems with that. But it's illegal for me to do my hobby (not bestiality or the like, but amateur radio). Myanmar and DPRK are the only 2 countries in the world where ham radio is illegal.
OTOH, Cambodia loves radio hams
I can stay in my Myanmar job until I'm ancient. But I want to enjoy my life, rather than just teaching, and ham radio is an important hobby for me.
I'm a very good teacher for all grades, including IELTS, Hospitality English, Phonics bla bla bla.
I already have many students who attend conversation and phonics classes after school (I have a dedicated classroom and English library/multimedia study room). I also do a lot of educational charity work, which seems to earn me respect (and hence additional paying students) from the local community.
It occurred to me that Cambodian parents might also want their offspring to have this type of tuition from an experienced British teacher.
Your comments are appreciated. (I am not interested in a business partnership with another Khmer or foreigner, because the world seems full of shits and scammers, and they tend to flock to me like flies to pig sh*t...)
