What is the "deposit" they hold back from your pay up to these days?disgruntled wrote:Don't remember anyone saying that they knew more about teaching here than anyone else. I originally put the post on to try to get help from those that are more knowledgeable about PP. I removed my original posts because I realised that rather than trying to help people out on here, it seems to be a forum used to slag off those less knowledgable about the country. I would have deleted the topic if I could, but I can't........Just to set a few matters straight - I based my working out of her salary on the month of April as she's just started and this is not a complete month......In April, she will have 121 hours at 11usd per hour which works out to 1331 usd per month - she will of course be taxed on this, and if there are holidays, she won't be paid for them. I don't know the holiday calendar here.

Hence the comment about this forum being used to slag people off.......................
It strikes me that people would rather put people off being here than trying to help, which is fair enough I suppose. I might do the same if I was doing okay. I'd like to think I wouldn't, but you never know.
You'll all be pleased to know that I'm leaving this forum. Better luck with your next victim!! he he
I'll be back to terrorize newcomers when I've got myself sorted.

There are almost always holidays. Khmer New Year in April, so you can knock about $330 off that figure.disgruntled wrote: - I based my working out of her salary on the month of April as she's just started and this is not a complete month......In April, she will have 121 hours at 11usd per hour which works out to 1331 usd per month - she will of course be taxed on this, and if there are holidays,... .

I don't teach English anyway. Your attitude sucks, maybe that's why you haven't gotten a job yet. Keep trying, something will turn up.

Then why are you bothering to post unhelpful remarks on a thread about teaching. Perhaps you should take a look in the mirror when it comes to making comments about attitude.
I know that to you this is probably just a bit of a laugh and a way of entertaining you and your mates, which is why this time I'm really leaving this forum. I mean it! I'll never post on here for you to ridicule me again!
We should meet for a beer sometime! ha ha ha

The factories are hiring. $70 dollars a month. A built in sauna so you sweat out all your toxins while you work. Lots of hot country babes working around you.
Goodbye America, if anyone asks, say we were shipwrecked. Goodbye to your junk and your old hideola. Have a nice day.

The only remark I posted contradicted your BS about hiring people just because they're women, which was helpful since you obviously haven't a clue. Anyway, good riddance.disgruntled wrote:Then why are you bothering to post unhelpful remarks on a thread about teaching.

Disgruntled/usa,
You should be aware of the difference between a mass nurturing facility that wealthy khmers use to baby-sit their children and private schools that primarily focus on teaching anyone who signs up.
The former will often prefer women over men regardless of teaching ability whilst the latter will require someone competent to deal with the students who actually want to learn.
