I told you about your errant opinion of the JOB MARKET, DM.
My above comment was about the
local culture.
PPA, I didn't believe your first post because my experience 4 years ago was very different. I got the first job I went for with enough hours to live on (just about). 22.5 @ $10 - 10% tax per hour.
Over the last few weeks I have been looking and it's def a lot dif now. They seem to have more teachers and they won't give enough hours. I have 2 jobs at the moment and none of them have given extra hours yet. Still onward and upward.
Keep at it, SCC. I pounded the pavement and sent out ~45 CV's. With real experience and a good CV and pro attitude, the top centres and schools will hire if they have an opening. You just have to go to every school, reply to every ad, email everyone you can. Those with jobs, though, they really do not know the current market so they are surprised when you tell them. Word is out, many people are moving to Cambodia to seek jobs and opportunities.
If you stick around, usually those types of places will assign more hours to those with the right attitude.
