Hi folks,
I have some Cambodian family in the USA -- very recent immigrants -- who are looking to learn English. Their current command of the language is very basic, to put it mildly. Websites? Books? Other suggestions? Looking for something suitable for adults.
We will be getting them signed up for some in-person English classes, but those don't start for a few months.
Thanks!
Resources for Cambodians learning English?

I've posted these links on here before, but you won't go wrong with the British Council's websites (useful for teachers too):
http://learnenglishkids.britishcouncil.org/en/ (kids)
http://learnenglishteens.britishcouncil.org/ (teens)
http://learnenglish.britishcouncil.org/en/ (adults)
The Elementary Podcasts on the adult site are quite tough for most learners at that level. Download the script and follow it together with the listening, pausing when necessary, if this proves to be the case.

It would be helpful to know what their lingusitic aims are - the British Council website and material are great, but if they need to be able in function in English then they are probably best advised to get out of their Cambodian community and start talking to some locals!
