I am planning on taking a 6 months off uni and working in PP, ideally in a school doing TEFL or working in an international school as teachers assistant/casual. I will have completed 2 years of my Bachelor of Primary education in Australia with plenty experience of working with children. I am young (20) and female, and have heard about the nature of some english schools and have a few concerns about the whether or not this is something I should do.
My questions are:
1. What are the chances of getting a decent (if any) job with my experience?
2. Should I do a TEFL course? If so, what one would you recommend?
Cheers, I would love to hear your experiences/opinions.

what have you heard about the nature of some English schools, and how do your questions alleviate the concerns resulting from what you have heard?

My questions are regardless of my concerns.violet wrote:what have you heard about the nature of some English schools, and how do your questions alleviate the concerns resulting from what you have heard?
In reg. to the nature of english schools- Institutes hiring lowlifes wanting to make some quick cash, disinterest in the actual education of children- An article on RoadJunky about teaching in PP (server not connecting so am unable to provide link) and general discussion in forums have put this idea in my head- please let me know your thoughts.

Don't waste time on a TEFL, do a CELTA in Siem Reap
scobienz is right, schools are full of lowlifes, but then so are some bars, restaurants and offices.
