Some teachers bring their families over for a job with a 1000-1200 USD salary. Really?
those must be the Khmer they're deporting from the us.Kachang wrote:Some teachers bring their families over for a job with a 1000-1200 USD salary. Really?
Christians helping their fellow men by paying top wages again i see. they run the us version of the sats - or a rough approximation. they're a bit shady about it, as i tried to find out what model their entrance exams follow for a student, and all i could get out of them was the above info.
they are supposedly an international school with outside examiners. ACE pay up to 26$ p hour.

Message from the director -
It has been my absolute privilege to share in the educating of the remarkable students of Abundant Life International Schools in the United States of America and in Cambodia, since 1987. Over the years I've been blessed to work with a team of academic experts in developing a state-of-the-art, Christian world-view curriculum for students in preschool through grade twelve.
It has always been my goal to provide the resources and support parents need to "train up their children in the way they should go," as admonished in scripture.
The ALIS program is truly international, giving our students an opportunity to interact with their peers from the other side of the world. My desire is to prepare our students to transition smoothly into higher education on a global level. We do this not only by providing them with a rigorous academic experience, but by bringing together teachers from the United States, the United Kingdom, China, the Philippines, New Zealand and Cambodia to teach our students the languages and customs of other cultures.
We are growing the world leaders of tomorrow who will stand for wisdom and truth. As we encourage traditional American values such as freedom, justice, and equality, I always remind our young leaders of their civic duties and patriotism toward their own homelands. I'm confident that we are raising a generation of young men and women who will make a difference in the world based on the logic and wisdom that is the foundation of Abundant Life International School.
I am forever thankful that so many parents over the past 27 years (1987-2014) have trusted us to help them in the education of their children.
Sincerely,
Reverend Susan Beninate,
International Director

I still have trouble with the fact that there are people that actually believe this.kansaicanuck wrote:As we encourage traditional American values such as freedom, justice, and equality

I worked near the Psah Depo campus for a while, I was surprised how many RCAF and Government-plated vehicles dropped their kids off there. Looking into the topic in later reports it seems the government has quite a few Christians and Muslims in its ranks.

Sorry, I don't know. I got an email from the agent asking if I was interested in the job. I politely declined and explained that I was already teaching in Myanmar for a salary three times higher than what they were offeringDo you know which campus? They have 4.
Need some ALIS advice, please.
I sent the CV and got a quick email back with a link to someone in Vietnam and I was supposed to make an appointment via a pervasive online form and then a skype interview.
I had already sent a contact request on skype, and then removed the woman. She has very quickly sent me a contact request.
The emails are gmail, not a school email. It seemed weird to me so I went to their site and they have an equally pervasive application they want you to download, fill out and send back. No mention of anything in Vietnam.
Is this their process or am I sending my info to some hacker?
