I would quite happily work for free for a trial week. In fact, when I moved to PP, it was quite common for teachers to do an observed trial lesson.
k440, something to do when you're pissed.

Not sure it'll work in every sector, but it does in the NGO world.
That is different to drwaheah’s case. The person approaching the clinic for work was already experienced in the same field of expertise.

For the TEFLer wages on higher-end, you can get $50-60. More in some cases, but you should be established or have business connections.
I hired 2 TEFLers in the above range, one working for my employer and another for a client of mine. Hours are off-peak as Horace mentioned, in this case they were 5-7pm a few days a week.
In terms of schools, I believe ACE & Footprints pay over par and have some other benefits. I forget what they pay, perhaps someone else can answer that. $15-20 hourly I think?

Norm would be to have a trial and get paid an agreed % of your Billed Fees and that could also be be payment model for contract going forward.ផោមក្លិនស្អុយ wrote:Really depends on the context. Working an unpaid trial period isn’t unusual here - I have seen it be exploitative and also not. And (from the brief information supplied) seemingly he approached them, not the other way round. If someone doorstepped me looking for a job, I may look for them to prove themselves first also.
In past I have I known chefs on a trial having their recipe book copied and then let go after training up staff on menu. I never visited that place again but it did not last long. (I am struggling to recall its name)

You better than many would know that the top expat partners at law firms like DFDL will be pulling in at least $500k a year, most of which goes straight into the pockets of skanks and hookers on Street 104.
Allegedly.
I know I'm unloveable. You don't have to tell me. I don't have much in my life, but take it - it's yours.

How is that even relevant? There couldn't be more than a handful of guys here who answer that description, this isn't Wall Street. This Charming Man wrote:
