A decent violin, or at least repair one. If one says, "Thailand", please list the nearest quality repair/sales shop.
I hear decent Chinese violins (guitars decent too) can be had for $60. True?

Popcorn kernels, bulk: Bottom floor of Orrusey market. About to restock, when I do I'll make a note of the stall number and the specific price/kilo.
Decent smoked sausages German sausages, bacon (including back bacon), etc: Phnom Penh Sausage. http://www.yellowpages-cambodia.com/lis ... nh-sausage

Those who begin coercive elimination of dissent soon find themselves exterminating dissenters. Compulsory unification of opinion achieves only the unanimity of the graveyard.

Hello! Maybe the Mods can help me out. Thoughts?
I still feel like some kind of foreign person when buying my goods.
I will shove a few things on here and, if you like you can trump me with better options or simply make fun of my lack of knowledge after 4 1/2 chnams here.
I also have my second child coming, the first attempt cost me dagnabbit, oh! how he cost me.
I am only putting stuff that I can direct you to and am not looking to sell anyone anything, so reciprocal behavior would be amenable.
If we get this going, then maybe a small voting system would help us all out, so if you see a post for some wondrous deal maybe tag it or dogshit . After years of"OH! for F*!*KS sake, Kynom Squal Tlay Pun Mahn" or the ubiquitously uttered, fuck off! I would like to think we can put our knowledge out there for each others benefit.
I'm in Boeung Tumpun so most of this stuff is local to me here.
My mate gets his Angkor kampongs 24 for a tenner, I can ask for address.
7 up, Pepsi, Mirinda $6 a case- can purchase 1 case at a time.
Same guy sells Zenya, Pomeg/Grape $12.50 for 24.
Getting my VInamilk 1l Plain for $1.40 @ 1+1 mart, st 271, nr PP sports club.($1.80 at Lucky)
Kellogs Cornflakes $4.30 500gm box, from above mntd. (Seen elsewhere for up to $5.80)
I've been paying $11 P/tin of France Bebe powdered milk at the Farlin shops, not bad. Any better?
I've been paying $13.50 P/64 pack of Drypers nappies approx 9-14kgs, Angkor mart, Tuol Tompoung.
Bought my hair net bike seat cover, $4, new basket for moto $5.(Just for reference)
Got a 16gb USB2.0 for $10 at Cana computer.
Good quality Levi originals at BKK market generally $5.(Unsure if you can find new ones there).
I generally eat, drink or find shit in a lot of these items so I suppose they are a little specific.
Give it a go, maybe you will jog some memories.
Ok! boomshanka for now.
Going to speak to the big cheese at Boeung Tumpun about birth certs, and registration within Sangkat, so will post the outcome.
Just thought of posting this now, so not much to tell you but hopefully we can get an info exchange going.

Drypers or Pampers are important for the first few months but after that you might want to try the yellow Vietnamese Pep Up nappies which cost 13,000 riel for a pack of 24 from market stalls. That's 13.5 cent per nappy as opposed to the 21 cent you are paying now. At six nappies a day that's an extra $13.65 in your pocket each month.

Most of the bigger book stores (that one on Sihanouk/63, maybe the one on Monivong) have wrapping paper and related accessories. It's usually cheaper to have them wrap it for you. Not sure about pre-made cards, maybe those copy places that make wedding invitations? Or maybe Hallmark...
Where can I buy Drano?
Lucky doesnt have it in at the moment, anyone seen it at other supermarkets or markets

Not Draino but some French stuff is available at Pencil on Norodom. Helps if you can read French. Man, had never read this thread before this morning but it seems like I can answer every question. On more and I'll be on a roll.
