Considering how expensive our healthcare is, noooooooooooBirdy wrote:Ok so America has the most expensive health care in the world but the likely hood of making a claim in Cambodia etc is much higher,eg Traffic Accidents.Buscador wrote:Actually, as I suspected the coverage does not depend on your nationality but on the location of treatment. Most policies of this type charge a considerably higher price if coverage in the USA is included. In this case, about twice as much. That's what happens when you have the most expensive health care in the world.andyinasia wrote:There's one policy for everyone in the world EXCEPT you scum, and a completely separate one for you. Wouldn't this balance things out?
Insurance
Most traffic accidents in Cambodia--especially those that involve expats, who would be likely to buy such policies--seem to be of two types:
1. Low speed collisions that result in scrapes and bruises if one of the people involved is not in a car.
2. High speed collisions where the person not in the car/truck is torn in half and killed.
Neither results in a payout by a health insurance company.
Whereas in the USA a fall off a curb that tears a knee ligament can cost $20,000+.

So, I can add £600 to my list, cool
Nothing but an opinionated tourist. The Pope spends more time in countries than I do ! It is also not my place to comment on a gentleman's dress. A real 23 minute wonder, that obviously knows little about ovens and cooking in Cambodia.
