Hello!
I was looking for the Khmer term for
Onomatopoeias
Google Translate gave me
ជំងឺរលាកខ្នែងពោះវៀន (or chomngu rleak khnengpohvien)
but when I put that (the Khmer, not the transliteration) into Google the other way it gave me
Appendicitis
Anything is possible, but I think I hit a glitch. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I appreciate any and all help.

Haha, that's pretty funny (the appendicitis part).
It wouldn't surprise me if there is no word for it, but rather if they needed a full phrase to describe it. But when I put it into google translate I get អូអូម៉ាទីតូពៀ (au au mea ti tau pie) -- which is clearly the English word Khmerized.
It may also be a difficult concept to discuss, as even Europeans have trouble with this concept between languages. Here's an interesting article about that.

That was a fantastic article, thanks so much. It reminded me of when I was living in San Francisco and there was a Korean restaurant down the street, its sign was in Korean and one day a neighbor told me what it said- it was, of course, the restaurant's name, being pronounced 'boggle-boggle' which he said was the sound of water boiling.

The onomatopoeia is frequently used in literature, poetry, in which that need descriptive word for animal calls; natural sound and also sounds from feeling; thus, the poet must choose the right word give readers the right sound when he speaks of “chav” sound of water on hot metal “choŋchaŋ” sound of clash of weapons; “cha:” sound of noisy crowd, “chu:” sound of gushing or people in panic; “cre:k” sound of hum of cicadas.
