I once shared a house with a woman who objected to my going out partying and drinking every night.
She thought that I should stay in more and do things like washing up, laundry and the mowing of lawns – despite the fact that I paid for a maid and a gardener.
Guess that could have contributed towards the divorce?
Looking for a roommate

I know a man who made the mistake of sharing a house with (at that time) Phnom Penh's biggest loon; someone who could appear entirely rational, even charming, until a certain amount of alcholol had been chugged.
At that point his personality would change in a heatbeat and he'd try and pick on huge Australians ('who u lookin' at Skippy?'), get into shots drinking contests with the richest alcohlics in town, buy the whole bar a drink and then refuse to pay the bill, get barred from the Walkabout for throwing an ashtray at a waitress...and then get chased out again the next night when he returned in the 'disguise' of a baseball cap and set of dark glasses.
His final flourish was to pick a fight with posse of homeboy returnees, (are you missing Long Beach Mr Returnee?) .....that last jibe lost him his front teeth.
Anyway, this mismatch from hell ended one day with the loon being chased out of the apartment with a breadknife after coming home in the early hours, defacating in his pants and then falling asleep in his own shit on the sofa.
Think carefully before sharing an apartment.

Loss of control over her assigned male is always hard on a FWC.I once shared a house with a woman who objected to my going out partying and drinking every night.

I recently looked for and found an apartment in Bong Kang Kong I. It took about two weeks. First I started looking with a real estate agent from CPL and then one from Bonna. I asked for a $200 to $250 apartment, but the agents always took me to $300 to $350 apartments and told me that $250 apartments are either no good or only available in Toul Kock. When I found three that i liked, they wouldn't bid for me any less than asking price. I smelled a rat.
After this I just went riding around on my motorbike at night and saw signs for rent and had a Cambodian friend make calls for me. I found a nice one bedroom first floor apartment like those I had seen before for $300 and only pay $160 per month. It was because my friend called and arranged it. When I arrived the first time to look, the landlord wanted to charge $250 because I was a foreigner, but my friend, in Cambodian language, talked very strong with him about how this was wrong. I rented the place for $160 on a month to month basis. It included all the appliances and furniture, Cambodian-priced utilities still in the landlord's name, free garbage pickup, and it is only five minutes walk from my workplace. If I ever look for another apartment, I will do it this way again.
