There is an entire thread with a similar title to this.

Do you first read the last few pages of a book? Do you want to know the full plot of a movie before you see it? Why don't you answer your own questions after you arrive? Damn glad I came over when the internet was in it's infancy, and I purposely did not look at a Lonely Planet. The journey, not the destination, is the fun part.
Last night I had many many beers and 2 slices of pizza. I just ate a breakfast of fried eggs, bacon, toast and butter, and 2 fizzy paracetamols with codeine. Quite exotic!

Me too actually. I arrived knowing nothing other than the name of a guesthouse I hoped to stay at, knowledge that there was an area called lakeside, another called Russian market and that FCC was a must ( back then).
I am having trouble breaking my internet addiction. So glad I didn't own a smartphone back then and,if a FB group related to Cambodia existed back then, I had no clue.

As it was raining cats and dogs here last night, I thought a little soup was in order. A clam-prawn chowder no less:

It looks delicious Hanno.
Less sophisticated but this homemade dish did the trick, with a side salad and samouraï sauce on the roast potatoes.

There must be 3 chickens and 2kg of potatoes in there. No wonder you're referred to as a fat, sweaty mouth-breatherlogos wrote:It looks delicious Hanno.
