This is the second posting about a piss up for St George.
WTF is going on, is he the patron saint of people wanting liver transplants or something along those lines.

I refuse to go out with nothing more than a whimper followed by a small farting sound and a shit stain on my bed sheets..
Just thought I'd share that with you.

At no point in my post do I see the promotion of a piss up. That is not really what St George's Day is all about.
It is a much less commercial event than say St Patrick's Day. The focus is more on tradtitional English food and drinks with family or friends in the pub; and good music too.
In a similar way the Scottish tend traditionally to celebrate St. Andrew's Day with Haggis and Neeps and
a few Scottish whiskies as the Welsh may celebrate St David's Day on the 1st of March. Although there is
only a certain amount one can do with leeks here! And whilst the Welsh expat community may be big in stature
they are small in numbers in Phnom Penh.
We have done events over the years for England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales National Days. Most
countries have a national day of holiday which is traditionally celebrated.
As British and Irish restaurant and pub abroad I think it is fitting to put on some form of
special in recognition of a holiday. That's all.
I just wish I could get hold of some real English ales for the weekend - but I'm afraid it's not to be.
Next year perhaps.

They lure you in with cheap booze, then they finish you off with great food at reasonable prices, LOL.

You can wash your mouth out with toilet water PB for even suggesting such a thing.
