Dude, how obsolete are you? Any show I come across I just look out the torrent and download the whole series!OrangeDragon wrote:yep, watched southpark last night. and some weird singapore spin-off of the daily show called "the noose" (pronounced badly as "the news").cambod wrote:I would kill for Comedy Central!

lol, yeah... i still like to catch the fresh ones without having to figure out what season/episode it's on.
i do the same but i'm usually a full season behind because i want the whole thing at one download.

I gave mine away.
Once the other guys got Star/Espn back, there was no need to have it.
Are One TV still telling their customers the History Channel will be here soon?

Exactly the same here. I was also surprised to see some blurb on Thursday boasting that they've just got 3 BBC channels - news, lifestyle and knowledge. I had them 3 months ago before I quit.Murray wrote:I gave mine away.

On a separate note, I'm really pissed that ESPN had rebranded as Fox Sports. FOX! Fuck

still have it, still frustrating, about to get rid of it.dv8inpp wrote:Its been going for a while now so what's the consensus on it now?
nice to have 3 HBO and 1 Cinemax, and comedy central, cartoon network, discovery, etc.
i'm not a sports nut, until US baseball season, so i haven't even really hit those channels.
and yeah, it's got a lot of BBC now.
the pain in the ass part is how about every hour of not changing the channel it drops out to "scrambled channel" until i flip away and back again. which is lame.
top that with the fact i can really get any movie/tv show i want online now and stream it to my tv over the wifi... it doesn't make sense to be paying for TV.
the wife watches 1 local channel... gonna get her the cheapest package there is and be done with it.

I download all movies/series/documentaries and watch at my convenience. The only TV I watch is live sport and news. As Murray says, PPCTV has the sport back, so I'm only missing Al Jazeera and RT News, which is a miss, but doesn't justify the outlay IMO.OrangeDragon wrote:still have it, still frustrating, about to get rid of it.dv8inpp wrote:Its been going for a while now so what's the consensus on it now?

As you say, the frequent signal drop was a pain, plus every time you flick a channel there's a ten second delay. Sort it out OneTV!

Hi just wondering if any cable providers has cricket on their sports channels or if any of them have the indian star sports or ten cricket? Also that indian national channel had the icc world cup on last year, does anyone know which one has that?
We signed up for OneTv and their initial 3 month offer for $20 including box and quite a few channels. It was OK at first - temporary interruptions and blank screens, but just about usable. Over the last 2 months though it has become utterly shit - every time a car or moto drives in front of our house, the signal cuts and everything either freezes or breaks up so that you can no longer see what's happening. Where I live, that means just about every 2-3 minutes. Added to that the fact that every day for at least some of the time, all of the channels are scrambled and it's become a joke - we didn't even bother turning it on for the last few weeks the package was valid.
We have now returned to PPTV, which has a far worse selection of channels, but is a thousand times more consistent. I wouldn't bother with OneTV if you're thinking about changing over - you really do get what you pay for.

TEN Cricket is available on PPCTV digital, but they do not have live coverage or replays of matches played in England, Australia or India. That eliminates most of the good ones, unless you are a South Africa, Pakistan or Sri Lanka fan.

Can you have one TV on One and another on PPCTV? We just need one for the missus to enjoy her stupid dubbed voices in a sound-proofed room while I watch proper TV.
Do you really have a sound-proofed room?
If so, how'd you sound proof it?
Sounds a big problem out here in Asia, you know.

Thanks Gilmore, I had a look on the PPCTV website and didnt see ten cricket listed although I dont know how reliable the site is, I assume it is inculded in the sports package? It is a shame the ashes wont be on, will have to watch at Paddys or online.
