Check in Cowboy on St. 51
I just noticed this place this week, does anyone have any reviews of it? It looks pretty big.

Looks like a classic indoor Khmer Beer Garden, with a Khmer clientele.
I came, I argued, I'm out
Check in Cowboy sounds like the name of a gay bar don't ya think? Not that there's anything wrong with that, just sayin'.
I'm not a negative person, I encourage people all the time...it's usually to f**k off! But, whatever.

It would be strange to have the whole cowboy hat/wagon wheel theme and then serve Khmer beergarden food, but maybe that's what they are doing.andyinasia wrote:Looks like a classic indoor Khmer Beer Garden, with a Khmer clientele.

it doesn't look like a classic indoor khmer beer garden to me.
I wonder if they have applied the idea of the themed restaurant, such as Hogs Breath Cafe or the US type (names escape me now) to the beer garden?

A couple more photos here; they appear to have cocktails and beer towers.

I would hate to actually have to leave my apartment and go there some day to find out what kind of food they serve.

I wondered what this place was when I saw the cardboard cutout of a cowboy outside, figured it was a gay bar.
Looking at some of the photos in Facebook seems the menu is only in Khmer. A barang girl posted as if she was being adventurous in Cambodia by eating frog legs, so there is at least one menu item we know.

Wow, it's one of those accidental "so bad, it's good" blogs:gavinmac wrote:A couple more photos here; they appear to have cocktails and beer towers.

What do you do when you are stressed? If you spell it backward, it is desserts! Coincidence? I think not!

Please don't tell logos this. Last time he thought a gay bar had opened on Street 51 he was incandescent with rage.
I don't care about the concept but I don't like the offensive , in your face, garish blinking signage.
Anyway it looks ike that "guy station" thing is on its last legs as I hear Scobie has vowed to stop patronizing them as part of his 2015 resolutions.
Too bad none of them is about his choice of avatars

And if he is, look closely on what he propped up on.ricecakes wrote:It'd be easy to identify if it was a gay bar or not.....is laud John propped up inside ?
I refuse to go out with nothing more than a whimper followed by a small farting sound and a shit stain on my bed sheets..
Just thought I'd share that with you.

Pure and simple.
Logos is a concept developed by the ancient Greeks, and we all know what they got up to, wrestling nude covered in olive oil and feta cheese...
Not that there's anything wrong with that...
