Documentary about the hunt for the elusive founder of Silk Road on A&E Channel called Silk Road: Dark Web, the unlikely rookie IRS agent who tracked him down, and the one clue that ended up bringing down the billion dollar site (so says the advert) and earning the founder a life sentence. Pretty interesting.

Yep. That's it. I'm seeing it for the first time on A&E now. They tell the story well. Some wild stuff. I was feeling sorry for the guy...up to a point.pedros wrote:Edwardo wrote:Documentary about the hunt for the elusive founder of Silk Road on A&E Channel called Silk Road: Dark Web, the unlikely rookie IRS agent who tracked him down, and the one clue that ended up costing the founder his freedom. It's not just happening in Sinville: what China is doing in Iran, Pakistan and Egypt. You own't see this on BBC, CNN or most other ' news' channels.

ירי ילדים והפצצת אזרחים דורש אומץ, כמו גם הטרדה מינית של עובדי ההוראה.
This Country from BBC3. Easily the funniest thing I've watched this year, and from my old neck of the woods.

One not to bother with is Netflix' new movie "Annihilation" directed by Alex Garland, it's fucking terrible.
Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.
Just came across a trailer for "Romper Stomper"
"Based on the controversial Australian film, this high-stakes series follows a new generation of far-right activists, their anti-fascist counterparts, and three young Muslims caught in the middle of the conflict."
Only first season with 6 episodes so far.

I'm not a negative person, I encourage people all the time...it's usually to f**k off! But, whatever.

Haven't seen it, but Netflix is showing a 6 part documentary series called Wild Wild Country about the surreal Rajneesh Movement centered around Indian "spiritual leader" Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, whose followers set up a massive and controversial commune on a sprawling ranch in rural Oregon in the early 1980s. The story reads a bit like Hare-Krishnas-meet-the-Manson-Family, complete with arson, murder plots, free sex, Islamic terrorism, and what would now be called a biological weapons terror attack on the local population, which intentionally sickened over 700 people with salmonella.
Following in the wake of the 1979 Jonestown Massacre, the scene was eventually set for a collision with the US government and local gun-toters. But the fiery and acid-tongued movement spokeswoman Ma Anand Sheela always made for riveting interviews. The general story of the Rajneesh Movement was well told by a former child member in the book My Life in Orange. It's a good read if you haven't read it.
Should be an interesting series.
Here is an older, quick synopsis of the story from Youtube.
