Sounds abit like Kampot but without the Islamic terrorism and biological weapons.McPhisto wrote:about the surreal Rajneesh Movement centered around Indian "spiritual leader" Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, whose followers set up a massive and controversial commune on a sprawling ranch in rural Oregon in the early 1980s. The story reads a bit like Hare-Krishnas-meet-the-Manson-Family, complete with arson, murder plots, free sex, Islamic terrorism, and what would now be called a biological weapons terror attack on the local population, which intentionally sickened over 700 people with salmonella.

McPhisto wrote:If anyone sees the new David Letterman interview show on Netflix, please post a quick review. I may have to splurge on a subscription and get rid of HBO. Generally I'm more interested in documentaries and not series, but if Netflix is where the most creative content is, then I'll give it a shot.

Yeah I just read that recently. That is what is renewing my interest in a Netflix subscription. I hadn't heard much about their documentaries before. The Wild Wild Country thing got me to research Netflix more. Worth a trial run I think.violet wrote:McPhisto wrote:If anyone sees the new David Letterman interview show on Netflix, please post a quick review. Netflix is commended for its documentaries.

I've been watching quite a few of the documentaries on Netflix recently. They have really old propaganda docs as well from the 40s onwards which can be enlightening. I personally liked the one on Eisenhower from the 70's that has Reagan, Nixon and Ford talking about him. Lots of new ones as well, Genius has some pretty good eps and The Cuba Libre Story is also pretty well made. I did briefly check out the Letterman show as I've been a fan of his for a long time but I simply lost interest half way through the first episode.McPhisto wrote:Yeah I just read that recently. Yes, there has been 3 episodes, I've watched two of them. the first one with Obama and the latest with JayZ who actually came over really very well. I like David Letterman and interested to see who is up next.McPhisto wrote:If anyone sees the new David Letterman interview show on Netflix, please post a quick review.

Billions is great, with two real powerhouse actors in Paul Giamatti and Damian Lewis. I just checked and it looks like season 3 premiered a few weeks ago, so I guess this weekend will be a good time to catch up on a few episodes.joelightcloud wrote:
I am on to "Billions" now, watched the first two episodes and seems to be worth perusing.
