Paddy Rice
Just want to give a hat tip to Paddy Rice, I've been going there for breakfast recently and they've really upped their game.
I'm sitting here eating the half breakfast, with two perfectly cooked poached eggs, back bacon, a sausage, tomato beans, a hash brown and toast(good sliced bread) + a French press of coffee for $5.5.
Since my food arrived I've had two different staff members come and ask me if everything was okay.
Is this place under new ownership or management? As I remember a couple of years back it was a bit hit and miss to say the least.

I've been saying it for a year now; until Rising Sun can sort out its sausages, it's the best option in town for an English breakfast. I've never understood everyone's antipathy to the place. I've never had a problem there.

I had lunch at Paddy Rice last week and it was pretty damn good. I used to think that it was the Wetherspoons of Phnom Penh, but its up its game and is actually a good afternoon drinking and food venue.
My posts are just jokes, maybe they're rude, offensive, and politically incorrect. They're not my opinion, viewpoint, idea, or judgement, but they're just fucking jokes so lighten up.

Have to second Starkweather's suggestion, I quite enjoyed the half-breakfast. Excellent sausages particularly but everything else was good too. And good value.

Yeah but discretely behind the bar. That way they do all the work and you don’t have to interact with them.gavinmac wrote:Do they still have dudes working there as wait staff?

A year or so ago they had dudes there waiting on tables. That's why I haven't been back.

Tis, I've thought so ever since his tuk-tuk seating arrangement manifesto for men.scobienz wrote:I think gavinmac protests way too much about dudes. It's a bit creepy.
He's the kind of guy who'd probably reflexively twitch if you accidentally brushed his elbow whilst sidling up to the bar at Garage.
Hints to a sexual trauma of some sort during adolescence. As gav is a member of the tribe, it couldn't have been a priest.
I'm guessing an incident whilst in the Boy Scouts. Some dastardly Scoutmaster, fiendishly spiriting a young impressionable gav away to a shaded edge of the woods. Promises of highly sought after merit badges in exchange for, well...
