McDonald's coming to Cambodia?
Not too keen on their burgers (prefer BK. Habit) but the breakfasts were a staple for me when I worked.
Got there at 10:02 once and they’d just flipped the signs round to the normal menu. “Sorry breakfast is finished” WTF!
Anyway. I was told by a manager (who sourced me a breakfast from “staff qtrs”) that the reason they can’t do breakie all day is because the temperature of the ovens and such needs to be lower (or higher, can’t remember which) plus some other technical issues.
I’ve recently heard that they trialed breakfast all day in the US I believe, obviously sorting out the technical issues.
So if they do come I’ll be getting my breakfast! Yeah! (Only in PP though)
It’ll be sometime before Kampot gets one. We don’t even have any (one, still not found it) CP 5 star chicken.
I smiled when they knocked down KFC in SIhanoukville. Vile shite.

Never understood how KFC can be so good in Barangland, yet so mediocre in the KoW. It's a fugging tragedy.
Good coffee in Macky Dee's no? I like that beef dripping coating on the fries aswell.

Not sure they will do well in Cambodia; they certainly aren't in Vietnam; none of the fast food chains do well there.
Place was packed, it was much cheaper than expected and the coffee was some of the best I tried in the country. Go figure.

I agree the KFC here is awful, but it's hugely popular in China, being the largest restaurant chain there.. The wife makes a great honey roasted chicken, so no need to go out for that anymore.

You do have exceedingly good bread and beer though sir.
They should introduce chicken wing burgers for the khmers. They luv munching on bones.

I read that at the time, but honestly, go to McD's by the train station on a lunchtime and see if there is a spare seat.
Massive stalker
The regulation Ronald McDonald statue out front will draw the crowds wanting a photo standing next to that colourful clown.

Not many things I miss but some of the food, and yes, the bread is excellent.
With the franchise fee and rent I would suspect they need to be packed all the time to make a profit.I read that at the time, but honestly, go to McD's by the train station on a lunchtime and see if there is a spare seat.

Funnily enough that is the same dish Spittlehog described, just tarted up. Admittedly I would eat it but nouveau it ain't. As for other comments regarding quality and price, 2 years back I tried a Big Mac in VN and was unimpressed by both quality and price. Fucking thing was damn near US prices and tasted like crap. 2 weeks ago however I was in the PI and both price and quality were much better. I don't know if this proves anything other than the PI is the king of SEA junk (fast) food. I am guessing Cambodia will follow Vietnam's lead.
