Some epic ownage by the Brooklyn Bistro on TA
I have read some reviews in the paper and online about Dos Besos. Is this Brooklyn Jay Millers place? None of the things I have read mention his name, but Brooklyn has a post saying that he owns Dos Besos and the Delivery business (but not the restaurant - weird?). Strange that he would not have his name with his own business.. at Brooklyn and Alchemy he told every bloke with ears that he was the owner, cook and founder. Does anyone know the truth?
The Mrs. has a funny hangup about not wanting to frequent a sex offender's business. I just want some nachos.

Most of her tuk tuk drivers are probably sex offenders too, just not convicted.
He's involved in Dos Besos. Good food, well priced. Leave your missus at home and go eat some nachos.
Along with some share of Alchemy - not sure what % - he also owns the Brooklyn delivery business, which is now a completely separate operation to the Brooklyn restaurant, and operates from a different kitchen, as the numerous posts by the other Brooklyn guy keeps posting on Facebook groups.
Jay was posting from his personal FB account on several groups announcing his new restaurant Dos Besos, so he's not hiding the fact that he is the owner/partner/whatever.AlecQ wrote:I have read some reviews in the paper and online about Dos Besos. I'm not a negative person, I encourage people all the time...it's usually to f**k off! But, whatever.

He's selling up a three deck bakers oven , display cabinets, commercial fridges , wine fridges and his warehouse with a coolroom is also for lease for $2000 month if anyone wants to set themselves up in the pizza business.
That's as retarded as saying most of the barangs in Cambodia are probably sex offenders too, just not convicted..epidemiks wrote: Most of her tuk tuk drivers are probably sex offenders too, just not convicted.

^ Maybe Jay's the new K440 owner?
My posts are just jokes, maybe they're rude, offensive, and politically incorrect. They're not my opinion, viewpoint, idea, or judgement, but they're just fucking jokes so lighten up.

So Brooklyn's New York City style pizza is not as good as the pizza from New York City. Kinda like saying that the Statue of Liberty in Phnom Penh isn't as good as the one in New York City. Why not compare Brooklyn Pizza to Pizza Company fare?
JM been out of Alchemy for a while.
His little Mexican place I'm hearing is pretty good grub.

True, I had a decent eat there the other week. Say what you will about the man, he cooks good food and I find him a affable host.

Agreed. Dos Besos is excellent. Super tasty Mexican food, nice environment and a great drinks menu. There's even low carbs options if you ask them.
Aussie gourmet bakery started the new year in the same vein. Wasn't there a thread recently claiming Brooklyn owner Simon obtained a stake in the business, much to the surprise of the Aussie owner?

Not sure whether it’s meant to be funny, or a dig at Jay, pretty poor taste imo.
I didn't notice the meaning at first, but the ad really makes no sense except to say "Get your takeaway pizza from the ORIGINAL Brooklyn Pizza, because if you get your pizza elsewhere (like from the 'other' Brooklyn Pizza delivery outfit), you may be subjected to unwanted sexual advances."
It does seem to be an attack on the former Brooklyn business partner, which would probably violate the spirit of whatever agreement the partners had when they split up about one guy keeping the restaurant and the other guy keeping the delivery business.
That was a strange deal though, where they went their separate ways but each still kept selling the same food items under the Brooklyn name. It was bound to have problems.
