French toast with sugar cinnamon and syrup.
Ive tried four places in the past week for french toast. None of them have had syrup. I dont care about maple syrup , i just mean regular pancake syrup.
Two places, joma and ripple cafe had nothing to put on the french toast. The rwo other places, on 172 just had honey, which i dont like on my french toast. Also joma and the two places on 172 did not sweeten the bread at all and no cinnamon either. Tastes pretty bad when you dont do that.
Yes i know how easy french toast is to make. Ive made it several times but im lazy in the morning and never want to cook. Anywhere in pp that you know for sure serves the toast sweetened and has SYRUP, not honey. Once again just pancake syrup, dont need the maple stuff. I figured it'd be easy to find but right now im 0 for 4.
thanks in advance

Are you too busy to buy your own syrup to take with you? It might be an easy solution.
As a point of interest, i eat my french toast with ketchup/tomato sauce.

I was introduced to French toast by a posh (posher than you) English person (southerner). Blame her

Larry's has French toast with syrup. They bring the whole bottle. I think they open at 10 or 10:30.

Proper posh English won't allow French toast on the table.violet wrote:I was introduced to French toast by a posh (posher than you) English person (southerner). Blame her
She must have been a faux poshy. If she's not from Surrey she ain't bleeding posh.
pew, pew, pew, pew!
Putting syrup on eggs and cheese is some kind of culinary perversion.

blah blah blah
kinard's got it! (not that i've every had cheesy eggy bread)
that's what she called it by the way "eggy bread" 'cos she was too posh for French bread.

You have to ask yourself, would any sane foodie put maple syrup on their rarebits?
