Yes, once and probably won't be going again. Food was just so-so. Their menu had middle-east, indian, asian and western dishes... I think that tells enough. Service was not-to existent even though they had 4-5 waitresses there. Desserts looked good though.ullobonggottanewmoto wrote:New Iraqi restaurant on 348... just south of Toul Sleng. Anyone been...?

^^
Cheers for that. I popped in a couple of days ago to look at the menu...no falafel on the menu and the Khmer waitress I asked had no idea what I was talking about, so I gave it a miss.

I had a falafal wrap at Taste of the Middle East the other day that was alright; a little light overall, more of a snack than a lunch (it was $3), but the falafal itself I thought was superior than hummus house's.ullobonggottanewmoto wrote:^^

Had the opposite experience. Went there last night. Felafel appears on the first page, and as a wrap later in the menu.ullobonggottanewmoto wrote:^^

Between the three of us we got a mixed platter of dips, sliced fried eggplant with garlic, a mixed chicken/beef platter and a lehambajin. All were fantastic, and we could barely finish. With juices and teas it was $10 a head. Was too full to try the deserts, but they did look great.
They do take away and delivery but still getting the menus together.
I'll be back, hopefully they last unlike the Indian joint over the road that didn't make it past 3 months. Very convenient for those around Toul Sleng.
