Tonight is the final night for La Crêperie, which has been the only place for savory crepes in the city. Apparently business has been slow, with a steady stream of regulars but that's all. The same management owns a place in Saigon though.
Sorry Frenchies - La Crêperie closes
About a year ago the two of us went to the creperie. When the food came my crepe was burned. The hostess said "apart from that, how was it!". Haven't returned.
She should have replied "But sir these are charcoal crepes"OldOldGuy wrote:About a year ago the two of us went to the creperie. When the food came my crepe was burned. The hostess said "apart from that, how was it!". Haven't returned.

Are you sure it's the only place that does savoury pancakes? I thought the place on the NW corner of Riverside and St. 144 does them too.Miguelito wrote:Tonight is the final night for La Crêperie, which has been the only place for savory crepes in the city. NW corner? Perhaps you mean the Blue Pumpkin on the SW corner? I'm not sure, would be interested to know. The Window Licker wrote:Are you sure it's the only place that does savoury pancakes? North west corner, amigo. I'm positive I've seen them on the menu there.Miguelito wrote:NW corner? Perhaps you mean the Blue Pumpkin on the SW corner? I read terrible reviews about that place on TA.
It used to be called "on the corner" which is a good French restaurant that moved elsewhere on the riverside. Then that "new corner" place opened and apparently the food is not good. The original french owner is not happy by the way both places have been mixed up by many.
