It is a Thai franchise. I have no idea who is running it here but there have been a whole load of them set up over the past year or so - there must be more than 20 already.Phuket2006 wrote:prehaps a franchise from Thailand, Amazon coffee shops are located all over thailand usually next to gas stations,Nice ice coffees, lattes an snacks,( no burgers here)

Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.
It's owned by PTT, the Thai state owned oil and gas company.
Anyway, you lot are fucking useless, we'll just have to take our chances and go in blind.

You could have had them tailor-made here...for maybe $10-15/eachrgrowden wrote:So I spent $50 to have $40 worth of shirts delivered. Ouch! But I got the shirts I wanted, which I couldn't find here. I guess if you want it enough...
Exactly, they make pretty good tailor made shirts here. He could have all his shirts and a suit tailored for that price!son of vladimir wrote:You could have had them tailor-made here...for maybe $10-15/eachrgrowden wrote:So I spent $50 to have $40 worth of shirts delivered. I used to go to Angkor Independent Tailor on Sihanouk Bvd, they used to be fairly good.
Wrong. I went to a dozen tailors one afternoon, had a shirt with me that I wanted duplicated. No can do. No can do. That's all I heard. Hence Amazon.
You went to twelve tailors and non could accommodate you, I am surprised. Were any recommended? The situation must have changed rapidly in the last few years. I have had no problem in getting things made in over twenty years. I admit I am now retired and have not and any suits/shirts made for about three or four years.rgrowden wrote:Wrong. I went up and down Sihanouk, then to the block of tailors a street up. Tried some around Russian Market. It's a stretch material. I have had shirts made here before, and all my pants are made by a tailor, but nobody can do anything but cotton, it seems. That's ok, Amazon came through. Hopefully.

Tailor at BKK market works in cotton, polyester, silk, whatever material you bring him.
Had some drink at Amazon, it is cheaper compared to the Browns/Starbucks and also tastes cheaper. Never going back because I am happy to pay more for higher quality.

I ordered an espresso and they asked hot or cold... I almost said cold because I’m curious what that would entail. But I got my espresso, took a sip, and almost spit it out — it must have been a 50/50 coffee to simple sryup ratio. They all saw my face when I took the sip, and then they did make me a new one without sugar when I asked.GMJS-440 wrote:Had some drink at Amazon, it is cheaper compared to the Browns/Starbucks and also tastes cheaper. Good story, I know. Then I found $10.

Where did you find the $10? In the pocket of the Armani suit jacket you were wearing?

Lighten up man, stop being envious of my suits.
I just drove past Amazon Cafe on Northbridge Road. The burger place is next to it and is in fact called Rio Burger. Perhaps this is the only outlet that has a Rio Burger as well.

Just to follow up on my order with Amazon. Placed order on 30 November. Two packages - one arrived 5 Dec., the other came about an hour ago. They shipped via DHL, the drivers were better than the average delivery person.(They actually could read street numbers!) Except for getting nailed with a border tax of 30%, it was great. I'll do it again, but only if I REALLY want something.
