Actually, I think gavinmac would agree with that synopsis.sociopath wrote:i find interacting in person with most barang especially the young ones repulsive. sure there are a few that i do rarely encounter and approach and speak at lemght with but yes a very few and very rarely. say once or twice a year i would encounter such exceptions. been away from the culture too long. that said the same repulsion exist to most asian males too, while most asian females of any age are pleasant to interact withMiguelito wrote:The Lost Room has excellent food and service, and is generally not very busy at all, let alone with hipsters.
Is it the mere site of a manbun that sends shivers up everyone's spines, or having to interact with a bearded bartender, or what? Where's the line?

Ellys gets my vote too...get a few TEFLERs but they’re mostly decent c**ts, and the odd hipsters who get the piss taken out of them...but the precious snowflake hipsters, teflers, ngoers, soap dodgers and bible bashers get scared off pretty damn quicklyGMJS-440 wrote:Elly's gets my vote, they will get a few TEFLers in but they are the good kind of TEFLers.
To be honest, I hardly ever go out anymore, content to just stay home.
I'm not a negative person, I encourage people all the time...it's usually to f**k off! But, whatever.
Well I'm no tefler but even I can tell you it's a wrong handle then. What you just described and qualifies both you and Gavinmac has nothing to do with sociopathic traits, mostly associated with criminal behaviour.sociopath wrote:i find interacting in person with most barang especially the young ones repulsive. sure there are a few that i do rarely encounter and approach and speak at lemght with but yes a very few and very rarely. say once or twice a year i would encounter such exceptions. been away from the culture too long. that said the same repulsion exist to most asian males too, while most asian females of any age are pleasant to interact with

OTOH you are certainly misanthropes. The harmless kind of sociopaths
misanthrope i like miss persons and this is unacceptable in lovely, lovely man america?logos wrote:Well I'm no tefler but even I can tell you it's a wrong handle then. ok so these words are not in my remembering vocabulary and i had to look them up on a online website and chose what i thought would suit the avatar i had. since changed avatar. so definition depends on what online dictionary you chose and what parts of that definition you chose to emphasize or ignore. i use the word sociopath above in accordance with what i remember from the online definition
not even going to look up misanthrope, not interested. i also have the impression that psychoanalyst/shrinks have all these pigeon holes to classify people solely so they can justify their existence .
my thoughts are people react to their immediate social and physical environment and as such can differ with location, society and culture, food/drug/drink intake, and time. thats why america has so many sickos

Based on this thread, K440 members all prefer to sit at home at night than go out.
However, I was at Oskar last night, and the place was absolutely packed. A good mix of people too - expats of different ages, some well heeled Khmers, etc. Very casual, yet upbeat environment. Some backpackers even came in and tried to make a run of it (literally, large backpacks on the backs and fronts of themselves); they must have been shown the door because their social awareness levels were at about zero, yet they promptly left. Excellent food and cocktails, no manbuns in sight.

They looked like they wanted to stay. I'm surprised they didn't knock any glasses over swinging around with their bags like that. I never understood how some people can put on a massive backpack, and then be completely unaware that if they swing their body around the bag might actually hit something/someone.
