Is having an ongoing middle man common here?Miguelito wrote:At this point couldn't the restaurant talk to the owner, and cut out the middleman?
Parking a car in front of the restaurant is an interesting tactic.
Of course there are introducers who get a cut of the rent depending on contract length.. but his guy was skimming every month with the last 3 months being a very generous skim!
Any contract I have seen here has a clause as standard preventing subletting.
What is wrong with that? Buffalo Sister has no problem with having a SUV parked outside their small entrance on most days blocking the entrance or any available moto parking.Miguelito wrote: Parking a car in front of the restaurant is an interesting tactic.

Used to be our favorite pizza place. The owner has become increasingly unhinged over the last few years (meth?). Screaming at staff and throwing things at them. Quality has dropped dramatically. The last time we went, a few weeks ago, was one of the all time worst restaurant experiences I've ever had in Cambodia. We will never go back. Read some of his Google, Facebook, and TA replies to unhappy customers.
Piccola Italia Da Luigi is now our favorite, even though it's in Ballsac hipster land.

I am sooooo very sorry if you can't understand or appreciate my sarcastic facetiousness.

What’s the etiquette on parking - is it rude to park in front of places, even if you’ll be eating there?HsRob wrote:What is wrong with that? Luigi's has a second branch in Toul Tom Poung on st 167. Slightly different menu, slightly more expensive, but as good as if not better than the one on 308.chkwoot wrote:Used to be our favorite pizza place. Regretfully pedrazzo, in this new age of the curiously re-visioned, humor-debased, millennial-hipster inspired Khmer 440, that cheeky quip will, in all likelihood, fall on deafly, doltish ears. innit
The word "etiquette" does not apply when it comes to cars or parking or any traffic related shennenigans in this country. However, the SUV outside buffalo belonged to one of the staff who proudly annouced that to me after i raised a concern that you can't see the place or get inside because of the car a width of the entrance parked outsideOffRoader wrote:What’s the etiquette on parking - is it rude to park in front of places, even if you’ll be eating there?HsRob wrote:What is wrong with that? I feel like this is one of those things that locals would park anywhere, but if we do it some hipster will call out "that's not cool, man", like a lot of angry faces I saw when I drove past Bassac Lane on 308 at night, trying to squeeze between chairs in the street and vespas parked in the street. If a Cambodian drives down the street they'll get out of the way, but if a white guy does it it's just evil looks and you're an asshole.HsRob wrote:The word "etiquette" does not apply when it comes to cars or parking or any traffic related shennenigans in this country.
