Super Bowl LLII
The dynasty of the New England Patriots vs the backup quarterback and the Philly Eagles.
Of course Score, All Sports Bar, Lonestar, & Larry’s will be showing it. Anywhere else of note?
Patriots are the Vegas favorites. What do you guys think?

I think the half time entertainment will take it with a last minute field goal & it'll be scored by Kanye West whilst shouting "Build That Wall!" to a backdrop of stars & stripes & the star spangled banner before a mass shooting breaks out & Kim "Wrongun" Jong-Un claims responsibility. I know its a long shot, but still more chance than the Redskins ever making it to the Superbowl again in my lifetime

Don't you forget what happened the last time JT was on that halftime stage with the "wardrobe malfunction" #NippleGateSpigzy wrote:I think the half time entertainment will take it with a last minute field goal & it'll be scored by Kanye West whilst shouting "Build That Wall!" to a backdrop of stars & stripes & the star spangled banner before a mass shooting breaks out & Kim "Wrongun" Jong-Un claims responsibility. Haven't been there since it was called Mikey's and the name after which unbelievably escapes me at the moment (alzheimers setting in), however i do avoid Irish bars outside of Ireland, they have a tendency to overdo the Craic factor, and are generally overpriced compared to the surrounding offerings. Not that Paddy Rice does as far as i know because i always walk straight past!maven wrote:Do people still patronise Paddy Rice?
Ah that[s it but i thought it was the H&A after not before, my memory definitely going!
It's a shame about this. I met Peter about four or five years ago when he was in the habit of dropping into Banana Bar for an early evening beer. I was usually there for the lightning fast internet access that Tom, the then owner, facilitated. Peter was a Yorkshireman who'd lived in Asia for sometime - Taiwan I think, and a nice guy.104 wrote:Ah that[s it but i thought it was the H&A after not before, my memory definitely going!
At the time his partner was an American chap called Doug and the bar/guesthouse was called Mickey's. Later Doug went off to SR and started his own hotel and Mickey's became the Hope and Anchor.
It was never really an expat hang out after Doug left, but Peter clearly worked hard and found a niche for his business at the tourist end of the market. To be honest, it was a perfectly pleasant place to stop by for a sundowner. The staff were efficient and the river view was still intact. So after the demise of the Cal2, this is yet another successful foreign owned business on the riverside that has been shafted by greedy local landlords.

That was a hell of a bar. Many a memory stems from that place.104 wrote: when he was in the habit of dropping into Banana Bar for an early evening beer.

Oh, drat!
And I go to such extreme lengths to disguise my incarnations. Only to be foiled yet again!
