Restaurant Reviews
There's a great Korean restaurant on one of the side streets close to the airport which I always go to when flying. Costs around $5-8.
Re. Tell
It's been a few years since I was there, but they had some vg grappa di Barolo.

If you're interested in traditional khmer food, I'd highly suggest Meatophum restaurant.
here's their facebook page https://www.facebook.com/meatophumcambodia/
It's probably my favorite restaurant when it comes to khmer food. They have a few branches around Phnom Penh and their restaurants are very decorative of khmer aesthetic contents. Oh and their prices are cheap (around 1-2 dollars for a dish) but that's not to say their food aren't quality cuz they areeee

Don't go there, saves money and time. Terrible Food and craft-beer, has nothing do to with the German region of Frankonia. And service is bad.
Irina Russian Restaurant, been there recently?? Pickled herring comes with a shot of vodka for an appetizer.

I go for their lunch deal, which is three courses for something cheap like $7 or $8, containing a salad, soup, and main (the varenkis). Decent food, always very quiet there.joebren60 wrote:Irina Russian Restaurant, been there recently?? Pickled herring comes with a shot of vodka for an appetizer.
went there a year ago right after they were closed for renovations (I guess this is when the change of ownership happened?) I was utterly disappointed by the lack of German dishes. Not even Schnitzel on the menu but snails as an appetizer. Looking at the menu my friends were saying "this feels more like a Khmer/French place". The food was decent but not good enough given the prices.Playboy wrote:Swiss-German, with a great roasted pork knuckle.Miguelito wrote:They were Swiss, right, but changed hands a year or two ago?Playboy wrote:https://www.tell-restaurant.com/RickyBobby wrote:Any German Restaurants?
Sort of ...
But recommended
Since the change over they have become more 'European' in their menu.
I should actually check it out again soon, it has been a while since I last went.
There used to be a place in TTP street 123 or 135 that served Schnitzel exclusively (big board kitchen). These were pretty good but the owners seem to have moved on?
//edit: just checked Tell's homepage and there seems to be a Chicken Schnitzel now. Anybody been there recently and gave it another try?

Mid East Feast, St 308
Empty. Lunchtime Friday.
Food dry, tasteless.
Call to prayer or some such playing at too high of a volume.
Namaste better experience (same street, next door), but India Phnom Penh (Riverside) beats them both hands down.
Indian food rating based on chicken tandoori and lamb and chicken curries ordered at both.
