Yes, and according to the owner, it closed because even though it had by all appearances been a very successful business ever since he opened, he still wasn't making as much as he could working for someone else, and he had a lot more headaches to deal with. So I'm not sure that is the best business idea to pursue, although I dearly miss the Vespa.
There are plenty of excellent restaurants in Phnom Penh and a good selection of French. I had Duck Confit last night with a bottle of 2015 Château Tertre de Courban, which was surprisingly good for the price.Hungry Drunk wrote: ↑Tue Jan 22, 2019 12:59 pmYes, I thought it was clear I was asking about types of establishments, and not individual food dishes. I did say “where would you eat and drink at”, not “what do you want to eat?”
Anyways, so you each miss a particular British food item. Sounds like there’s no good British pub in town.
The pic is old but from the same restaurant. Their latest Duck Confit is excellent!

After a few months, I’ve come to the conclusion there is no good place to go to at about 12-2 AM.
At those times the choices are girlier bars, Vito, and Pontoon. But nowhere chill, fun, run into friends, bar/lounge.
Please prove me wrong.

The Starlight Lounge was a great bar, but they did not do a good Sunday RoastPetrol Head wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2019 7:41 pmThose Vespa times were the best times.Buscador wrote: ↑Fri Mar 22, 2019 11:57 amYes, and according to the owner, it closed because even though it had by all appearances been a very successful business ever since he opened, he still wasn't making as much as he could working for someone else, and he had a lot more headaches to deal with. For those of you that remember Paul from Slippery Sams on 102 St. He has opened a new place on 136St called Molly Malones, it's about the fourth or 5th block back from the riverside end of the street on the south side, and he's doing food.
Home made black pudding, bacon and sausages.
It's kinda new so it's not very Irishy yet.
Good breakfast for about $6.50

I recall Paul and his bar. Will make a point of dropping in over the next week for a beverage, or three
