Lacking F&B scene in PP
New here, just a few months.
What is PP lacking in your minds? Obviously there are enough girlier bars and 50 cent joints, but where would you eat and drink at? What’s the void?

Just a reminder to everyone we are supposed to be nice to newbies .

OK I have to comment. If history is any guide, there will be a bunch of posts now from people who say Phnom Penh needs a place with a great English breakfast, but those posters will never actually go to a place with a great English breakfast and certainly won't pay more than $4 for it.

If you cannot find somewhere decent to eat or drink in Phnom Penh you are a deaf dumb blind fucktard .

Ahh thanks for reminding me, been meaning to post about a great new vegan place. Will get to that after lunch (plastic stool style on the corner of the street today... see I can assimilate as well).Marinaris wrote:Miguelito made a thread about fancy foods.

I'm guessing from the tone of the OP, they're fishing perhaps more for business ideas than somewhere to eat & drink themselves (or they've been eating at home for "a few months"?!).Hungry Drunk wrote:New here, just a few months.

I've noticed there isn't anywhere in town that sells haggis & Scotch. I think this is a huge gap in the market and would work well in st.104 or 136. Good luck.

Needs a food card selling scotch eggs. I get a craving for them after a few beers.

Yes, I thought it was clear I was asking about types of establishments, and not individual food dishes. I did say “where would you eat and drink at”, not “what do you want to eat?”
Anyways, so you each miss a particular British food item. Sounds like there’s no good British pub in town.

Correct! There used to be one but it closed. Life here has been quite difficult since.

Can you even have a good British pub in a hot country? I think it's just not right if not accompanied by shitty weather.
