A very impressive photo essay on the Vietnamese floating villages in the NYT today. Long read, but worth the time and some interesting photos.

I'd call him "Rod". Looks like a storm approaching.

Here’s a pretty good read from the New York Times magazine focusing on the plight of the Vietnamese population here in Cambodia, specifically those that live on the rivers.
A people in limbo, many living entirely on water
Was a good read over breakfast and a coffee, takes about thirty minutes of passive reading, so can enjoy this afternoon over a lazy beer or two. Nothing completely riveting and new for those that live here, but at least the author isn’t a naive noob either, and he shares some interesting stories of the people he meets along the way.

You're right. A very good read. My wife grew up, and was good friends, with many of "those people." Sad.
I am sooooo very sorry if you can't understand or appreciate my sarcastic facetiousness.

Oh damn, don’t know how I missed it then. As it’s not the shortest read I probably skipped it then, and just refound the article today. I’ll merge the threads.pedros wrote:Is this the Sunday omnibus repeats?
