stains, mate, there's an opening for you...
Here is an opening also....
Although, we are still waiting for a report from the last intrepid explorer that was sent in to find the opening

He was on his way from Central Bangna (located on Bangna-Trad Road) to his home on Sukhumvit Soi 85. The incident happened on the opposite side of Sukhumvit Road, close to the Bangna intersection and BTS Udomsuk (Sukhumvit Soi 68). So that's still quite far away from his house and not so far away from where they had started.gavinmac wrote: I don't know Bangkok geography well, but Google maps tells me that Bangna and Suk Soi 83 are very far away, so there's no way the meter total would be 51 baht. Maybe it was 51 baht higher than the guy expected? 201 instead of 150? I don't know. We have only the taxi driver's word.

An obvious case of "stand your ground" defence, maybe the rest of the world should adopt this law so to defend innocent people such as this sword weilding maniac of a taxi driver who was obviously threatened by the American passenger and had to defend himself!Alex wrote:He was on his way from Central Bangna (located on Bangna-Trad Road) to his home on Sukhumvit Soi 85. If there's any truth in the 51 baht story at all, it probably means that the American was shocked that the meter already showed 51 baht by the time they reached Sukhumvit Soi 68, so he assumed that the meter was rigged and demanded to stop. In this scenario, his plan seemed to be to jump out and either take the BTS from Udomsuk or hire another taxi from there.
We'll probably never know what really happened. The taxi driver's story is designed to lessen his punishment, and this strategy will probably work.

I saw a guy in SA riding a Kawasaki Z1300 hit a street-sign, decapitated instantly. He was only doing maybe 60 km/h, but the way he hit the post just sliced his head off like a tomato.Falcon Randwick wrote:Christ on a bike! How fucking fast do you need to be going for this to happen to you?
