Saying someone is probably gay and "Likes young boys" as you did is a bit euphemistic in Cambodia no?DF wrote:Who mentioned anything about sex with underaged? No probably here about his traits. He advertises the fact himself. So no rumours or hearsay here.Hanno wrote:I say. Not hearsay Hanno. I wouldnt publish such information unless it was public knowledge. Originally i was not aware of his traits, until some months had passed, and friends in town told me what was going on.Hanno wrote:So it is hearsay?DF wrote:I didnt know about his habits either.

Personally, someone making a comment about someone's attraction to younger men and hanging out in gay bars is no different to me than if someone made a comment about an expat liking younger women and hanging out at girly bars on st 104. Hasn't the Hugh Hefner thread taught us anything?
The forum is not a place to name and shame every expat that upsets you. It is not a place to post, out of the blue, so and so visits girlie bars and buys prostitutes every night. But if this person has conned a number of people in Siem Reap, then by all means I think that it is appropriate to use the forum to expose them, just as you might use the Cambodia scammers page on Facebook.
It is a difficult job as an admin/mod. When an accusation is made, we have no basis to know if it is true and accurate or not. More often than not, these threads draw out information, either for or against the subject, or about the OP that posted the subject. It is for that reason better to leave them up, at least for a little while.
This is a good time to remind posters that they alone are responsible for what they say on this forum, just as they are responsible for what they post on Facebook. The admin of the forum are not legally responsible for defamation, it is the individual posters that are.

He used it in a sentence to inform people that the person hangs out at gay bars (and massage parlors) as he like "young boys". I think it's pretty clear in this context what the OP was talking about, regardless of his diction.kansaicanuck wrote:Younger Men - young boys, Younger women - young girls. No. It isn't pretty clear. Let's get clarification. He didn't use it to inform he hangs out at gay bars and massage parlours. He leapt to a conclusion....lkes young boys (men?) > must hang out at gay bars and massage parloursMiguelito wrote:He used it in a sentence to inform people that the person hangs out at gay bars (and massage parlors) as he like "young boys". Likes young boys, so probably hangs around gay bars, and massage parlours.
Has conned a multitude of expats and locals in Siem Reap for around 50k. Uses different scams- borrows money, takes goods on credit, but never bothers to pay, gets investors in small business ventures.
If you catch sight of him, please let us know. There may even be a reward if we can get our hands on him in Cambodia.
Have tried to upload his photo, but to no avail.
His Messenger is Richard A Laycock- a bald guy.
I think this post is full of shit though,
. Stirring, DF?
Wtf with that underlined? Give some thought to what you post. What did you intend to say and what did you end up implying. Do all people who like younger men (to give caution to your use of the phrase young boys) end up in gay bars? Like shit they do. Your post is filled with prejudice and judgment...and it is based on hearsay...as you admitted others informed you of his behavior. Wtf is this about?
If.... if.... your hearsay is that he likes young BOYS..l suggest getting some harder evidence. That is worth your gossip. If the guy just owes some money and also favours younger men then leave that shit out of it. The issue is money not his sex life. Far more productive to work out how to post photos than to,say he is probably to be found in gay bars

Did an expat loan him 15k on a piece of land? Why? Are expats issuing mortgages to other expats now? Was the lender hoping to foreclose on the property and make a profit and then got shafted when it turned out the property was worth less?DF wrote: Secures a 15k loan on a worthless piece of land.
