The banking sector is rapidly changing and there are many new app based options becoming available.
Many of these new banking services - like Revolut and Transferwise don’t yet support transfers to Cambodia. It will be great when they do as they are much cheaper than traditional banking options.
What are people using at the minute for ‘value for money’ bank transfers? I’ll need to transfer a chunk of money soon and even a small differential on %age will make a significant difference.
I had been using the post office as they used to refund all fees - but they seem to have stopped doing that now.
Transfers from U.K.

I note that you can even select the “cash at any branch” option- if that means any Wing Cash Xpress then you don’t even need to waste time with all that ID nonsense Western Union put you through, just pickup your cash anonymously- kudos to them getting that through the regulator...

@ផោមក្លិនស្អុយ :
If you (or anyone) are still looking to transfer money from the UK to here, we could do a mutually beneficial exchange - domestic transfers - as I want to transfer money from here to the UK.
I've done it before with a guy who used to be providing it as a service here a couple of years ago - user: Spartan - and it worked out well. But he's left Cambodia now, it seems.
It was simply done by making an online banking transfer between two banks in the UK, and simultaneously transfer between banks here, or cash in hand - obviously both people present and watching and checking all funds completely transferred etc., before concluding the transaction. Saved on transfer fees and did it at the official exchange rate. Win-win.
Message me if anyone wants to do it.
