the best way and easiest,
Go open a new thai bank account ( bangkok bank and SCB are the easiest)
then get a atm card . Send the atm card to cambodia and then all u do is put money in your thai bank and it can be pulled in Cambodia.
Total cost /transaction 100 baht

Sounds good in theory and maybe it will work, but *technically* I think it could be against bank policy and possibly illegal. I opend a Canadian bank account once and explicitly proposed this to them because a family member was having difficulty getting me cash in Cambodia. The obvious solution to me was getting a prepaid visa card that could be topped up and my accessing it while in PNH. They flatly refused - never explained why.Phuket2006 wrote:the best way and easiest,

We paid $7 on a $300 transfer the other day. Thailand to ACLEDA in Cambodia.SunSan wrote:
Try ACLEDA. They're cheaper with nearly everything, probably with international bank transfer fees as well.

If the bank is on the ATM network they can't object to you using it anywhere you want.

I used Western Union for the first time the other day.
In sending a paltry $50 US to Cambodia, it cost me 400 baht/$12 through Bangkok Bank/WU. I asked to look at other amounts: $400 costs 1000bt/$30, $500 costs 1300bt/$40. Mind you there was a truck load of paperwork processed.

I do this and have been doing it for over 2 years. In fact in do it online with my SCB account ?? what could possible be illegal about this?
I also have done the same thing with my Citbank account in the states as i gave my daughter the atm card so i could transfer money, Online from my primary account to my secondary account) an she could draw it out.
