IBAN/SWIFT code issues with transfer to ABA Bank help??
I receive international SWIFT transfers into my ABA acct monthly, and often make my own SWIFT transfers from personal bank accts in other countries to my ABA acct...NOT once have I experienced any of the issues mentioned in this thread. Provide account name, account number, bank name and address and SWIFT code...done, money is usually received within 1-3 working days.
I'm not a negative person, I encourage people all the time...it's usually to f**k off! But, whatever.
I'm with PSD-KIwi on this one, never had an issue in or out.
Normally received within 4 to 5 hours.

I've transferred from my USA bank to ABA. Arrived same day.
About to do it again in a week.

i've never had a problem with completing a transfer..my issue was that there was an intermediary bank involved who took a cut to facilitate the transfer yet this was not made known at the beginning..
He's been in his room 35 years...time to let him out!

Do you folks generally use intermediary banks when transferring from abroad?
I used to but haven't for a few years now without any issue.
This week one sender was quite insistent about getting intermediary details and I was insisting it wasn't necessary.
I won. Didn't use an intermediary. The funds didn't arrive.
First time in absolutely ages that I have had an issue.

I've never had to supply intermediary bank details, and the only fees that ever appear to have been taken out of the transfer amount are ABAs incoming remittance fee, no idea whether the funds go via an intermediary and if they do I'm not been charged for it.

Cheers
I once (July 2017) had an intermediary bank holding my transfer because they wanted full address and date of birth of the beneficiary. If money is slow, ask your bank to start an investigation, they can track every step of your dollar and can see where it is any time.badboybubby wrote:i've never had a problem with completing a transfer..my issue was that there was an intermediary bank involved who took a cut to facilitate the transfer yet this was not made known at the beginning..
Just sent yesterday. Instructions given to international bank around 1am Cambodia time and arrived in ABA close to 1 pm.
I know they have intermediary banks but I never need to provide that at Bank of America. Sign on, select drop down for Cambodia and drop down to ABA. Maybe your international bank sucks.
