If she applied she could just give my name. But I have no connection other than that to anywhere in Europe. Based on that could I get a card do you think? I have opened bank accounts in Europe before and they required a copy of the passport as well as something to show that you are connected to your address that you give on your applicaton. For example a power bill.
Would it be possible for me to get one? Thanks very much.
I think it would be safer for you to apply on your smartphone using her mailing details rather than her applying using your details.
As BillyB says you need to verify your ID with a passport photo. It's pretty slick how they do this. additionally the app is linked to your bank account - you'd have to give her your bank details also... Seems a strange way of doing it.
You control your Revolut account from your smartphone. If someone else applies them they potentially have full control....
I set mine up using my in-laws address (this is also my UK mailing address) and my dads phone number. When set up I changed the mobile number to my own Cambodian number. All the other details are my own.
You don't need to verify your address - just your ID. A postal address is needed if you want a physical card.
