I thought it was established in that thread that the Canadia ATMs just stopped informing customers about the fees?gavinmac wrote:Canadia bank removes ATM fees and limits (2017)

And it's not my bank charging me $5 as it's free withdrawals just pay 1% of transaction fee it's a mastercard.

It depends on your card, for Visa the best bet is Maybank. With a foreign card you won't get an option to withdraw in Riel so just use US dollars or change $50 or so at a time into Riel at a local money-changers - there are loads of them around markets and Wing shops, for example, will also exchange foreign currency for the local one. They are very honest and I rarely even bother counting the money from them.Asian_friend wrote:I will be in Phnom Penh next month and ask your experience regarding fees for withdrawals at ATMs

Yes. I used a Canadia atm earlier this week and it was a $5 charge when I checked my account but there was no prompt about it.Viracocha wrote:I thought it was established in that thread that the Canadia ATMs just stopped informing customers about the fees?gavinmac wrote:Canadia bank removes ATM fees and limits (2017)

Yeah, I wasn't sure about that because I rarely use a foreign card here.Gardiguy wrote:Aba ATMs offer a choice for usd or riel with my Canadian visa debit card.Lucky Lucan wrote:It depends on your card, for Visa the best bet is Maybank. Mayfair ATMs don't charge a fee, but they only accept certain cards (the only one I'm sure they don't take is UnionPay).

ABA charged $9 to take 500 the other day. Miss the old day of Canadia giving free withdraws with my cards.
