Physio in Phnom Penh?
Physio in Phnom Penh?
Hi all,
Do you know a good (sports)Physio around town?
I'm having some shoulder issues that keep coming back whenever I get back into heavy lifting and I want to get it checked out but someone who knows their stuff.
Best would be either in BKK1 or Russian Market Area, but I wouldn't mind travelling a bit further when needed.
thanks in advance..

There's a Danish guy who works out of a private house on ST 63 near BBK1 , he's very good and charges 30$ a visit. I've PMed you his private number, his name is Jeppe. Also the Khmer physio at Naga clinic is very good too. If you google physio Phnom Penh you'll find more info on Jeppe and other physios around there are quite a few but I can only recommend these two from my experience.
k440, something to do when you're pissed.
Thanks guys
I eventually ended up at physio phnom penh. It's the one in russian market area and its run by dutch therapists.
pretty good! they spent 45 minutes on me and were very clear on what was going on and how to fix it.
the guy I was seeing is into lifting as well so that's sort of a plus for me.
Gave me quite the deep tissue massage as well painful, but rewarding as I finally got a decent night sleep in....

Consultation was 45$... sessions onward are 35$ and are 30-45 minutes (of pain )
He mentioned there were different rates if you want to add acupuncture/dry needling (anyone know the exact difference?) or kinesio taping to it. don't know the exact prices though.
I'll try to get a referral and see if my insurance covers it, that would be sweet

can you tell me how long do his sessions take?
The clinic I'm at just opened a second clinic on the other side of town, as well. PP post just did an article on them. Lots of people getting injured I guess

He said we'd do 5 to see if my current pain/inflammation level would have gone down.
from there I could decide wether to go on and restore muscle imbalance/posture to prevent it coming back, which will take some time, or just take the "quick fix" and hope it won't come back

Interesting. Please keep us posted. I'm going to need an MRI and a physio pretty soon. I've been postponing the inevitable for way too long.
Yeah so shoulder is good now, after some intense deep tissue work, ultrasound treatment and kinesio tape. I decided to take the "quick" fix and see how it holds up. I'll do a checkup in a month and take it from there. And bought a foamroller from them. Never knew those things are so good.
What do you have going on?
