I'm looking all over for the little plastic ant bait traps too..... What you Describe sounds like Decon Rat Poison....... The raid spray sucks... .... I need the little plastic and bait poison traps...... Update to this thread?kikiquery wrote:Ok, I am reporting my adventure. We went to Thai Huot on Monivong. It is somewhere near central market. Didn't find the black box thingies, but found some death pellets in thin yellow boxes. Lo and behold, one of the ingredients is borax. I'd post pictures, but I have no fucking clue how to. I will try to update on effectiveness for future ant executioners.

You really need to find the entry points, them close them up. Laying down baits is only a temporary solution.
I have been looking for those things as well. The closest I got was small granules in little plastic boxes from Thai Huot supermarket on 99-105 Monivong. They seem to be working, but there are still some ants here and there. I don't think it has killed the queen. I honestly have been a little cautious about using the stuff because i have cats, so maybe if used more freely it might do the trick. I was also told there were some type of traps in the Thai Huot somewhere near the Toul Kork area, but I haven't ventured that far yet.DetroitMuscle wrote:

Oddly enough, I have found cheap girly smelling clothing spray starch to be a fantastic deterrent. It isn't very good starch, but wherever I spray it, the ants stay the fuck away. Pretty much between the two, I've got the ants under control unless the worse half leaves food sitting out or spills stuff and doesn't wipe it up right away.
Hope this helps a little. Let me know if you find the traps in the picture or something similar, please.

Cool, I'm checking it (thai hout) out tomorrow..... I just would like something passive, versus me having to spray fuckers.... I have lined the perimeter snd sprayed most open little holes (from cable wires) in my apartment

Yeah, I am giving a spray of girly smelling starch about every few days around the perimeter and it seems to be helping quite a bit. They must not like to cross it or maybe they just think it stinks, lol. I think the starch is called Essence and is in a white bottle with pink writing and a pink dress on it, just in case you want to try it. At the very least, it leaves your house smelling nice
By the way if you go to the Thai Huot on Monivong, you will find the ant granules in a small yellow box (with about 4 plastic cubes per box) in the farthest aisle to your left when you walk inside. There will be raid cans and whatnots right on the beginning of the right side of that aisle, but you want to walk further down. They are about midway down the right hand side of the far left aisle, about in the middle of the shelves, in a place where you wouldn't normally look for ant killer. Look for mosquito coils, should be somewhere near them. Each box should be under $2. I think around $1.70 or $1.80. Also, as I was trying to find a picture of the stuff. I did come across some info about granules that looked the same, and it said will take about 12-14 weeks to kill the queen/colony.
Good luck! Let me know if you find anything new, please.
