Where can I buy quality eyeglasses in Phnom Penh?
Where can I buy quality eyeglasses in Phnom Penh? The coatings on the lenses I've bought here generally start breaking down after 4-5 months and become cloudy.
Eyeglasses? Do you mean spectacles, a monocle or something a bit more "HE" style?

I got a pair of progressive glasses at Grand Optics on the corner of Norodom and 154 in 2008 that are still in good condition. However, I only wear them 5 - 6 hour per week since I usually wear contact lenses instead. The price I paid back then for the optical exam plus the glasses was $50.Spigzy wrote:Eyeglasses? Touched by His Noodly Appendage
I would recommend 101 Optical. It's on street corner of 128/107. Not far from Central market.

Does anyone know if you can get a scratch buffed out on some Raybans anywhere?
I tried Grand Optics but they said they could not.

About a year ago I asked in many of the recommended opticians about getting a disintegrating anti-glare coating buffed off a pair of glasses. None of them could/would do it. I ended up getting new lenses and specifying no coatings.Nasty Canasta wrote:Does anyone know if you can get a scratch buffed out on some Raybans anywhere?

Thanks for responding - I somewhat naively thought that it would be pretty simple. Only 3 months old and got a scratch right over the right eye, really annoying.walkjivefly wrote:About a year ago I asked in many of the recommended opticians about getting a disintegrating anti-glare coating buffed off a pair of glasses.
