Best place to go for GI problems
Best place to go for GI problems
Won't go into any details, but having some digestive problems that aren't going away via the normal treatments. After doing some research seems like Khema or Royal Rattanak are the go to options for serious shit, no pun intended, but has anyone has a good experience elsewhere? Money is somewhat of an issue, hence me asking for a hopefully cheaper option. Thanks for any advice or help

Central Hospital is is very good and reasonably priced. http://www.central-hospital.com/ They do have a Gastroenterologist on call. But you will usually start with an initial consultation which will be about $20. Suggest Dr. Chea Pov. An abdominal ultrasound will be about the same price. If it is really serious and you need a CT scan and an intravenous pyelogram that is going to cost around $350 or so. (I don't expect it will come to that, but obviously don't know) I think Dr. Leang is the radiologist for this. Again for a second opinion the consultant Gastroenterologist could be involved but will not involve much cost.beerbaron wrote:Won't go into any details, but having some digestive problems that aren't going away via the normal treatments. How come you had a CT scan done at a maternity clinic, seems a bit unusual, unless it was for wife/girlfriend and in that case the price for a Khmer would be cheaper. CT scans vary in time from about 20 mins to an hour depending on whats being investigated, and price varies accordingly. Obviously I don't know what your scan was for, the price I quoted was for an abdominal scan with contrast. The IP would be around $100 and the scan around $250, a cerebral scan examining for TBI would be around $250 also, maybe a bit less.Biker wrote:I had a CT Scan done at " Clinique Somphop Panya " 282, Street Kapuchea Krom.
Very professional and cost $ 163.75.
Thanks for the advice. Mulling over my options now.

Go with Meo's advice. And Meo, I just had a CT scan in the US. New machine took less than 5 minutes. Of course, it took six weeks of bullshit to get the scan.

Sounds about right. Over the last few years I've had a number of CT scans. Probably less than 5 minutes .Blue Dragon wrote:Go with Meo's advice. And Meo, I just had a CT scan in the US. New machine took less than 5 minutes. Of course, it took six weeks of bullshit to get the scan.

No matter what you think the problem me be, it wouldn't hurt to change your diet to something healthy like lots of yoghert and fruit and drink lots of water. It may not cure the problem, but certainty wont hurt.
