Sorry about the throwaway-account.
I have got genital warts again, treated effectively back home, but I don't remember the brand name, and I don't think it would be called the same here. What should I ask for at the pharmacy? I'd like to get in and out as quick as possible.

If you are familiar with the type you have, Google is your friend.
Just go to Pharmacy de la Gare and show them a paper with the name of the medicine you used before.
You might remember these....
Podofilox 0.5% solution or gel
Imiquimod 5% cream
Sinecatechins 15% ointment
Back in the day, they used liquid nitrogen, Quick, effective, guaranteed painful.
A bastard Martinique intern took great delight in treating mine decades ago. He found the humor of the situation almost too much to be able to administer the treatment, as we were both young. He could not stop laughing at me.
I think perhaps a visit to the doctor would be in order with a recurrence. HPV can have consequences in the longer term.

Genital warts are often a symptom of full-blown AIDS. You are most likely much fucked dude, don't bother planning too far ahead.
Just joking, but there are better places to ask dick-related questions. Gross post.

Thank you, Kachang. Podofilox was the same solution I used back home, though another name. I went to about 10 pharmacies to ask for Podofilox, but alas, as expected they didn't know what it was. So is it called something else here in Cambodia? I didn't go to Pharmacy de la Gare, as it was very far from where I was staying, but I might have to go there after New Year's when I'm back in PP.
Lucky Lucan: It's a medicine related post, not dick related post, but I see you keep using every chance you have to be a dick.

Google for the chemical that's the active substance in Podofilox, they will probably have a copy from Bangladesh / India / Indonesia with the same ingredient available at the pharmacie(s). For some medication Pharmacie the la Gare is you only choice, although there's some stuff even they don't stock. Then Thailand might be your next stop.throwmeaway wrote:Thank you, Kachang. doubt you would have any difficulty buying silver nitrate from a pharmacy. whats more you would know exactly whats in it. if you were really intrepid and clandestine you could make your own. test it for pH after you make it just to be sure. dilute with water as necessary. you dont need a great deal of it. say 100ml would be fine . just dab it on till it covers the warts

I've always found the pharmacy at the Calmet Hospital on Monivong the equal or superior to any other pharmacy in Phnom Penh.
The brand name is not important. Brand names change to suit local marketing requirements and pharmaceutical registration laws etc.
What is important is the name of the active ingredients.
