How do you stay healthy?
Do you do anything specific to keep healthy, or do you just eat drink and be merry? On a scale of 1-10, where would you put your relative (for your age) health?
I think I am about an 8, I want to lose some more weight. I am now experimenting with Carnivore, drink very little and don't smoke.

Apart from lashings of avocado on toast, I'm on an alcohol diet and pretty effective it is too - I've lost 3 days this week already.

Keep moving, don't sit or lay down any longer than is necessary. Simple. Eat healthy food, simple. If you don't know this you are a moron, simple.
k440, something to do when you're pissed.
I’ve got a watch that tracks my movements, heart rate etc and it also collects data from a workout app.
I ride a bike 4/5 days a week for 20km average speed 20kmh.

I've noticed that eating vegetables from the local market when I was in Phnom Penh recently were giving me stomachaches, so I went to the organic market and bought from there. Stomachaches went away after that.
I tend to avoid all processed foods, but I still have me a big basket of chips (slow deep fried in olive oil) 3-4 times a week, and decent sized burgers (homemade).
Hardest part for me was giving up pop, but orange Royal D with a lime squeezed in is quite refreshing and doesn't give me the sugar buzz and crash I'm used to. If I really crave carbonation I buy a case of soda water and mix it with 2 bags of Royal D and lime for a treat. I seem to get less headaches too when I go that route.
Never drink as I never cared for it though. Guess the main thing is eat good quality food and add vegetables and variety where possible.
Don't know what I am on the fitness scale, but I'm fairly skinny and can do a days labour outside without croaking and I am well passed by physical prime.

I run a fair bit.
Do not drink soft drinks and do not drink alcohol when working.
Try and eat healthy as much as possible (not easy when on the road).

I do stay away from eating oily foods. Most of the time, I always eat fruits and vegetables.
Where's the organic market? Didn't know there was one.SlowJoe wrote:so I went to the organic market and bought from there. Stomachaches went away after that.
We get most veggies and fruit from Aeon supermarket now. They seem to be fresher and last longer that the stuff in Lucky, which often has to be used the same day.
In fact, we do most shopping there now, with a few things that they don't have picked up at Thai Hout once in a while.

Being worried all the time, about money, health, jealousy, envy, and a stressful job with non capable co-workers will do you, also, never retire, retirement kills.
Alcohol & tobacco, hard drugs in excess, of course no good either. And keep a decent BMI, avoid the beer belly.

It was right across the street from Angkor Mart and was called Natural Garden.slavedog wrote:Where's the organic market? Didn't know there was one.SlowJoe wrote:so I went to the organic market and bought from there. Stomachaches went away after that.
