Where to take teenagers in the evening?
My nephew and niece arrive in Phnom Penh tomorrow.
Which are the current bars and cafes in favour amongst the younger crowd, in BKK1 and elsewhere?

What age are they? Are they consuming alcoholic beverages?youngwill100 wrote:My nephew and niece arrive in Phnom Penh tomorrow.

Best bet for young people would probably be some of the backpacker bars around BKK1 such as Blue Dog and Mad Monkey and possibly Showbox near Toul Sleng. I think alot of younger people also hang out in Ballsack Lane.
I'm not a negative person, I encourage people all the time...it's usually to f**k off! But, whatever.
Cinema.

Thanks for replies. They can drink alcohol so some of the bars could be good

The bars in that alley off 380 seem very popular with the younger expats. That would be a good starting point.

The roof top bar on BackPackers II ?
Nothing but an opinionated tourist. The Pope spends more time in countries than I do ! It is also not my place to comment on a gentleman's dress. A real 23 minute wonder, that obviously knows little about ovens and cooking in Cambodia.

Are you talking about Ballsack Lane on 308?
I've even heard tales of older blokes checking in to these hostels just so they can ..what was it they said...oh yes...."smash up white chicks".PSD_Kiwi wrote:Best bet for young people would probably be some of the backpacker bars around BKK1 such as Blue Dog and Mad Monkey
Rated R for Ricecakes
I would say Che Culo on st 302, then a short walk up to Bassac Lane on st 308 (or vice - versa) that's quite upmarket.
If they want backpacker-y type stuff then blue dog on 51 near Wat Langka, Top Banana on st 278, also near Wat Langka and Mad Monkey, who have different 'events' on every night (pub crawl, beer pong etc etc) on st 302, close to 57.
There's also the boat cruises which are a good way to kill a couple of hours and see PP and sunset.
