GMJS-440, I posted this my experience of getting a Cambodian passport back in November, hopefully this will help...
Went with the missus to the passport office about 5 weeks ago, I was surprised at how efficient the staff and the entire process was. There are dozens of fixers hanging around who will help you fill in the forms and point you in the right direction for a small fee, but there really is no need.
Go in get the forms, fill them out, provide photocopies of ID, Family Book or Carnet de residence and Birth certificate. Take all paperwork and follow the footseps along the floor, stopping at each section (biometrics, photo, payment, etc). Missus took the 4 week return option $100 (may have been $110). Total time it took from entering to exiting the.compound was approximately 40 mins.
3 weeks.later she got a.phone call saying her passport was ready to collect. I'm impressed with the quality of the new style passports, hard plastic bio page, valid for 10 years and 60 pages for visas/stamps.
Well done to the Passport.department, one govt department that seems to have their shit sorted.
Note: Childrens (under 12 years?) Passports are only valid for 5 years.
so , photocopy of Family book ( not original) is accepted? BC needed? GREAT
can u please tell me the address and how long it would take to get there ,hours open, which days better to go ( ie not Monday
They will give u a faster option right there?
would be nice to have all the above in one neat post for us all
Thanks
