And now for some good news
Missus had her charity event.
She conceived of the idea of the event to help the poor in her village.
Created a list of poor villagers
Created a mission statement sheet.
Solicited donations.
Gathered supplies and volunteers.
And was able to help the poor in the village.
Those that were too sick to come to the event, we went to them.
Original goal was to help 16 poor and their families. Ended up helping 20.
Feeling ... priceless.
The reason why she did all of this - to increase her value in my eyes. I didn't know whether to scold her for valuing her self so low or praise her as a single Khmer girl to do all this by herself.
Maybe she didn't do the stuff a big NGO did - build bridges, schools, bring clean water, etc., but as a single person, she made a difference.
And I'm proud of her.

Don't worry, be happy.

Can't people do charitable works without the photo-ops and calling attention to themselves?
