Thinking about taking the boys this weekend. They are 5 years old and haven't skated before.
Any idea when the best time to go is / busy times to avoid etc.
Any info appreciated.
Thanks.

Just in case it's might be a good idea to take some change of clothes for everyone.
When I took my daughter, toward the end of the 45min session, she was already back to the pits and posing for her mother's camera on the polar bear when I was still at it, marvelling about what was left of my skating skills after being out of the ring for 20+ years and already making plan to come back since it had been really great fun. Then I landed a brutal frontal one and skidded on the sludge for a good 10 meters.
If the broken ribs pain only came a few hours later, the shame of walking down the mall, bloody and soaked from collar to toe was very much immediate

Haha, that's a funny story. My boys are about to be disabused of the notion that daddy used to be a 'champion skater'.
Actually, we went down there this morning only to find that they have some competition, so no skating for us today. Of course there was no mention of this on their website.
Anyway, will have another go next week.
